If you have lived inside the gate for more than a summer, you already know that the Fourth of July here is not a single event. It is a schedule. The parade gets the photos, but the weekend is really a chain of small windows, most of them under two hours long, spread across Cub Lake, the Country Club, the CSD parking lot, and the sky above all of it.
The mistake most households make is planning forward from Friday morning. The weekend actually rewards planning backward from Sunday, because the earliest events start before sunrise and the ones with the tightest capacity fill first.
